In 1976 our original founder, Don Hodnett, began building road cases with the purpose of perfecting the concept. With over 15 years of experience in handling equipment packed in "road cases", he had learned a lot about them.
So, what he did was take the best and put it together with some of his own ideas. The result was the Hot Rod Road Case. Very simply, it's the best road case you can buy.
Each Hot Rod Road Case begins with a design for a single, specific purpose - your purpose. Then, each case is meticulously hand built from the finest available materials (some are made exclusively for Hot Rod). In February 2005 Hot Rod Road Cases was reborn. Hot Rod Road Cases celebrates Don's original concept while embracing Joe's creativity for taking Hot Rod Road Cases into the 21st century.
Joe was with Don in the beginning. They learned together as roadies what made a good case vs. a bad case all those many decades ago. And they were together making that very first case in their parent's basement. Joe assisted Don on many occasions and helped perfect his product and he is able to create that product for you again today.
